Topic for discussion: Volt I would have wanted
Your comments:
If you do a Google search for the Chevrolet Volt and look into the number of photos on file you will find something interesting. We all know what the final result is of the decision for the production Volt and we see it now on the road. I have mixed feelings about taking the leap of faith in becoming a Volt owner. You see... in typical fashion GM has created a great concept.... only to make major changes to the final production version. Yes... it is the concept Volt that is the car I want... and cannot have. Looking through the photo gallary...you will find the volt I would have bought. It is a very sleek looking and forward thinking design. What happened? Where is my Volt? Let me tell you what I think happened. The powers to be at GM looked at the concept volt and then looked at the Prius. Someone in a position of authority said... " We need to make this look more like the Prius.... land so it was". Now I would like to think it had something more to do with... making the car perform better in wind tunnel test or improving MPG. In my heart I know this is not the case. When I look at the volt from the rear I cannot help but to see this as the off spring of the Ill fated Aztec. Yes... the modern day equivalent of the Edsel. The ASS CRACK!
Sorry GM... try again and this time...even if you need too... take one for the team and produce the car I want and not the one you think I need.
